Saquisili ist ber\u00fchmt f\u00fcr den traditionellen Markt, der dort allw\u00f6chentlich stattfindet.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Ende Oktober 2015 hatte Maria pl\u00f6tzlich Schmerzen im Knochen und wurde daraufhin im Krankenhaus in Latacunga untersucht. Von dort wurde sie direkt ans Krankenhaus Eugenio Espejo in Quito verwiesen. Nach intensiven Untersuchungen entschieden sich die Onkologen f\u00fcr eine Chemotherapie, um den Knochenkrebs im Schienbein zu bek\u00e4mpfen. Dennoch musste das Bein abgenommen werden, um eine Ausbreitung des Krebses zu verhindern.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Derzeit ist Maria weiter in Behandlung und verfolgt aus diesem Grund den Schulstoff von zu Hause.<\/p>\n<p>Mit der Prothese kann Maria gut umgehen und ist sicher ohne weitere Gehhilfsmittel unterwegs.
